Hobbit “Hobbits Rocky San” – (14.1hh 2002 Bay Stallion)
We were incredibly fortunate to be able to acquire Hobbit in the spring of 2019. He is an absolute dream of a horse. Bred in Germany, he performed exceptionally well in the German Futurities as a 4 & 5 year old and had an incredibly successful reining career in Europe before retirement.
Sired by Solanos Rocky Top (Italian Open futurity reserve champion), his distinguished reining pedigree includes horses like Expensive Hobbit, Peppy San Badger, Doc Bar, Peppy San and King Leo Bar, as well as many other very well known western performance horses.
Hobbit is a small, compact and very correct stallion whose physical presence belies his diminutive size. His versatility, superb attitude to work, impeccable manners and incredibly kind, calm, sane and sensible temperament make him an utter joy to ride and handle. He is also incredibly polite, respectful and well mannered with his mares.
Hobbit’s phenomenal temperament and correctness is passed on to his foals, who are all proving to be very steady, calm tempered and easy to train.
